Hello!  My name is Chris Hayes and very excited about teaching my 9th year here at the College & Career Academy.  This will be my 25th year in education and I am very excited to be finishing up my doctorate next year in educational leadership as well.  I am married to my beautiful wife Jennifer of 29 years and we have three children: Caleb-27, Aaron-24, and Anna Kathryn- 21.  My wife is also a teacher and works with 2nd graders at Unity Christian School.   I currently live in Calhoun, GA and have become an empty nester. Caleb and Abigail are married going on three years now with a son and daughter, Lincoln  & Haven who I adore.   Being a grandparent is awesome! Aaron is a paramedic now saving life's in the medical field day in and day out and Anna currently is attending Young Harris college in Blairsville, GA as a junior where she is pursuing musical theatre as a major.   I started my career out of college as a certified athletic trainer in 1996.  I followed that profession for 6 years before deciding to go into teaching and have not looked back.  I have coached high school football 19 of my 25 years .  My previous schools were Gordon Central, North Murray, Lafayette, Calhoun, and now here teaching at the CCA.  My wife and I enjoy traveling and are big time Georgia Bulldog fans.  We typically will go 2-3 times per year if time allows.  Investing time in my doctorate occupies most of my time but I do enjoy the fall and getting back into the groove of doing what I love...….teaching.  Please feel free to contact, share, or email me with any questions you might have about me or my classes.  Have a great day and a better tomorrow!
