Welcome to Briana Smith's Page! 

Hello! My name is Briana Smith. I am in my 12th year of teaching in Floyd County schools. I am a wife and mother of three beautiful children. My husband and I are both Model graduates and have continued the tradition with our children. We love our community! 

I love reading, riding my bicycle, hiking,  and camping. I also love to cook  and enjoy spending time with my family! 

My goal as a teacher is to empower children. I believe the purpose of education is to produce exceptional citizens who will be able to reason for themselves, perform for themselves, and have faith in themselves. Education should instill the ability to reason for one’s self by providing inquiry based reasoning. Education should help students build self-confidence through learning to be successful. It should empower and also provide avenues for students to be responsible and act for themselves.
