Counseling is an integral part of the school's instructional program. Counseling plays a role in education, career preparation/planning, social emotional learning, and the ongoing development of all students. Counselors form a team with school staff, parents and students.

AMS/AHS School Counseling Programming

School wide programs include career exploration, preventative programs for a healthy social emotional balance, and life management activities, positive behavior, and Tribe Pride activities (Homecoming week, Red Ribbon week, national days of awareness).
Small groups targeted to identified needs of the student body, such as grief, anxiety, social skills.*
Individual planning/guidance for personalized needs.*

Hello! I am Cauprice Clance. I am both a Professional School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Therapist. This is my sixth year as a School Counselor in Armuchee.

Associates Degree from Dalton State College Bachelor’s Degree from Point University

Master’s Degree from Lee University

With both a Professional School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor certificates, my experience has been as a mental health therapist with children’s and adolescents for 13 years, 9 of which were School-Based, followed by five years as school counselor in Floyd County Schools.

I am celebrating my 14th year of marriage with my husband and we have two amazing children.
