Greetings, my name is Pedro Payen I will be your child's 8th grade science teacher. I have a scientific background, I worked in genetics for an agricultural research company, now based in Dubia. I am looking forward to teaching your children; I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be their science teacher.

The document that follows shows the student exceptions for the first six weeks. We (teachers) will be creating this document each six weeks. It will be a means to track your child's performance. In addition there is a column for intervention if your child is not meeting student expectations.

It is the column labeled Additional Support Assignments Study Island, I would greatly appreciate any assistance you might provide to encourage your child to perform those assignments. We are striving to get the students to understand he or she must take ownership of their learning. So any help to mold and inspire their ownership is deeply valued.
