FPPA - Community Orchestra

I would like to invite students, faculty, and staff to participate in the Flintridge Prep Community Orchestra! This is an extracurricular ensemble which rehearses once a week before school and performs on the Winter and Spring concerts. It’s a fun way to make music with your peers. Last year, we played a variety of pieces from classical repertoire to contemporary works from video games and film! Members must commit to performing on the Winter and Spring concerts, attending soundchecks (see dates below) and attending weekly rehearsals on Tuesday mornings from 7 – 7:50am in the Music Room starting September 5th. It is recommended that participants have at least 2 years of experience playing an orchestral instrument (string, wind, keyboard/harp, percussion).

Concert Dates and Soundchecks

Winter Concert Soundcheck: Friday, December 8th, 2023 from 3 – 5pm

Winter Concert: Saturday, December 9th, 2023 from 3 – 4:30pm

Spring Concert Soundcheck: TBA (week of April 8th – 12th)

Spring Concert: Friday, April 12th, 2024 from 7 – 9pm

ABOUT

Community Orchestra is a musical ensemble open to students, faculty, and staff. Members of the orchestra must commit to attending weekly rehearsals before school as well as performing in the Winter and Spring Concerts. Two years of experience playing an orchestral instrument is recommended. Please contact Mr. Allen with any questions.
