Our Code
JESUS IS OUR FOUNDATION
We will seek to make Jesus the center of our lives, follow in His footsteps, and rely on the power of the Holy Spirit so that we become more like Him. Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
COMMUNITY IS OUR PASSSION
We will love people as God loves them as we have the power in Christ to build people up and bring people together. Matthew 22:37-38 “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
SMALL GROUPS ARE OUR FOCUS
We will do life together as Jesus did with the disciples. We believe life is better when we are connected with others. A community is strong when it will grow spiritually together, serve together, and walk together in the highs and lows of life. Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. “
SERVICE IS OUR RESPONSE
We will generously support the mission and vision that God has for our church with our time, talent and treasure. 1 Peter 4:10-11 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”
NEW LIFE IS OUR OBSESSION
We will speak and act in ways that people understand so they may find new life in Christ. 1 Corinthians 9: 22 “I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” Romans 6:4 “ We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
THE BIBLE IS OUR GUIDE
We will study the Scriptures because they speak about Jesus. and contain the teachings of the Apostles that help us live like Jesus. The Bible helps us seek God’s ancient paths and points us to the new things God is doing today. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
