GRADUATION REQUIREMENT

To graduate from Flint Hill School, students must successfully complete a Senior Curiosity Capstone. The purpose of the Senior Curiosity Capstone is to culminate each student’s Flint Hill School career with an educational experience tailored to individual interests. Students are granted wide discretion in developing their project and a great deal of freedom in its execution.  

PROGRAM GOALS

• Provide a transformative capstone experience that translates years of academic preparation into real-world action outside the traditional classroom.

• Empower seniors to take ownership of their learning through self-directed goal setting, independent planning, and creative problem-solving.

• Connect students with diverse professional mentors, organizations, and communities across generational and cultural backgrounds.

• Cultivate authentic agency by encouraging students to take meaningful risks, explore personal passions, and make a tangible impact.

• Showcase student mastery through synthesis of technical skills, deep self-reflection, and a final oral presentation celebrating their independence.
