Program Goals

The goal of the FCHS counseling program is to provide support to all students in order to help them reach their academic and personal potential.

The FCHS counseling department utilizes the standards and competencies as set by the American School Counselor Association.

Services

School counselors provide direct and indirect services to students. In accordance with Kentucky Senate Bill 2 and the Safety and Resiliency Act "school counselors spend at least 60% of their time providing direct services to students. Direct services are define in the bill as 'in-person or virtual services provided directly to a studetn by a school counselor, including but not limited to individual counseling, group counseling, and individual student planning, scheduling and registration.'"
