Our Week

We are so excited to kick off the school year! During our very first week, we’ll focus on building fun friendships, getting to know one another, and establishing helpful daily routines so everyone feels confident, comfortable, and ready to shine. We will spend our first week of school getting to know each other and practicing school routines.

Math: We'll be starting next week!

Literacy: Read to self, long vowels, active listening

Writing: journal writing

Social Studies/Science: We'll be starting this next week!

Essential Agreements

This week we talked a lot about how we want our classrooms to run. Students discussed and wrote Essential Agreements, or rules, they want to follow while we learn together in the classroom. Our Classroom Essential Agreements will be coming home on Tuesday for you to review, sign, and return.

School Start Time

Our learning adventures begin promptly at 9:15 AM each day! Arriving on time helps your child settle in, catch every minute of instruction, and start the day ready to succeed. To protect valuable instructional time, students arriving after 9:15 AM will be marked tardy or absent (with automatic exceptions for late school buses). Thank you for partnering with us to build consistent, positive daily habits for your child's success!

Chromebooks

Students who have turned in Chromebook Agreements will have the opportunity to bring their Chromebook home starting next week. Please help your child get into the habit of charging their computer each night and returning both the computer and the charger to their backpack each morning. Students who forget their computer may need to complete online work as homework. Quick note: Chromebook passwords are changing this year!
