Math: Students took the Unit 1 math assessment on Tuesday. Corrections on this test can be made and returned no later than Friday, October 23. All Unit 1 math work (green worksheets) is due Friday, October 23. Any missing work will result as a 0 in the grade book.
Literacy: We continued to learn about corn, studying its history and current industrial farming methods.
Skills: integrating information
Strategies for reading comprehension: asking questions, visualizing
Writing: We started taking notes to prepare for our informative explanatory essays.
Social Studies/Science: We celebrated Indigenous Peoples' Day by reading a book about buffalo relocation and Ojibwe and Dakota art styles. All students had their 1st of 6 Leadership Academy lessons where they learned about values and thought about what they value.
