Social Studies: Continued our BizTown unit, where students will learn about personal finances and career options. Students will receive their job placements on Monday, March 16.

5th grade will begin our D.A.R.E. program on Wednesday, March 18th. Students will bring home a information and permission slip after the first lesson.

We are excited to announce the upcoming 5th Grade Leadership Academy, a six-lesson program designed to:
Develop self-awareness and confidence
Recognize and celebrate differences and similarities among peers
Understand and practice effective communication
Build leadership skills and teamwork strategies
Explore the effects of personal decisions

The Scandia Elementary Art and Academic Showcase will be held on Friday, March 27th. Students are encouraged to enter their science projects, crafts, lego creations, writing, poetry, hobbies, etc!

March 26: Project Check-In 3:30-6:00
March 27: Art and Academic Showcase 5:30-7:30
Information was sent home about E-Learning Days. If there is another snow day or cold day, students will look for classwork on our 5th Grade Google Classroom page or complete the activities on the E-Learning paper.
Your student brought home an Xcel Home Energy Kit, parent letter, family guide, and an Home Energy Worksheet (HEW). Students who complete and return the HEW will get to pick out a highlighter. The HEW can also be completed online by click on this link.
