Starting in the 2022-2023 school year, all FLAS elementary schools will be using the Benchmark Advance literacy curriculum. Here is a link to learn more: https://www.benchmarkeducation.com/benchmark-advance-adelante.
All 3rd graders should be reading for fun and enjoyment every day! This can be done independently, with a parent, to a sibling, or even with your pet! Remember to read a variety of types of books and to read books that are appropriately challenging for the student.
Use the website fab.lexile.com to check the level of the book your child is reading. If you are unsure of what level your child is currently reading at independently, please contact me.
