About Mr. Casady

This is my 6th year teaching English 9th, 10th, and 11th grade at FALA, as well as my FOURTH (!!!) year teaching Journalism! Having graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2013, I returned to Flagstaff after teaching at Barry Goldwater High School in Phoenix. I love English, and use that passion to drive my instruction. I gear my lessons to focus on applying classical techniques of analysis to modern texts and situations. Media literacy is a critical skill everyone will use, regardless of career, so learning to analyze visual and auditory mediums is just as important as reading a text.
