DSIP Research Group

Introduction


The Digital Signal and Image Processing (DSIP) Research Group consist of researchers whose research interests are in signal processing and image processing. The scope of research for this group covers two main areas: signal processing and image/video processing. Over the past 5 years, the research group has secured more than 2 million ringgit of grants from government and private sources, and has published over 40 journal papers and over 100 conference papers at both international and local levels. Collaborators from the government and the industry include the Department of Civil Aviation, Marine Department of Peninsular Malaysia, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health, Keysight Technologies, SIRIM Test and Measurement, Advanced Air Traffic Systems and Intel Technologies.

Currently, the RG has 7 academic staffs with over 20 postgraduate students covering the various areas of expertise.
