What Does ASB Do?

Helps support Sunny Hills staff at the registration stations in August

Helps welcome, decorate the quad, and direct parents to meet their students' teachers

Allows current 8th graders at feeder schools to see the opportunities Sunny Hills has to offer, tour the campus and talk to athletes, program participants and faculty

A group of selected students (not part of ASB) who contribute their thoughts and ideas about the school and events throughout the year

Beginning of the Year Assembly - plans and prepares this assembly for the student body to welcome them to a new school year and introduce freshmen to the SHHS culture

Homecoming Assembly - plans and prepares this assembly to introduce the Homecoming court and hype up the students for the Homecoming halftime show held at the Homecoming football game

International Day Assembly - plans and prepares this assembly to showcase the diverse cultures within Sunny Hills through performances from each culture club

End of the Year Assembly - plans and prepares this assembly to showcase what happened during the school year

Fall, Winter, and Spring rallies represent and showcase the various athletic teams during those seasons

Plans all Spirit Days or Weeks at various times throughout the year---usually for a specific, upcoming event

Raised almost $40k in the last 10 years for Breast Cancer Awareness

Raised over 7k for Pathways of Hope and Fullerton Charities / Food Banks 

Works with FJUHSD ASB's in Community Projects each Spring!

Involved in the planning process of all school dances such as Stag, Homecoming, and Prom

Elections for ASB officers and class officers are held each Spring

Freshmen elections are held at the start of the school year

Court elections for homecoming and prom are conducted by ASB

ASB is included in the planning process and execution of Lancer Awards Night, where all teachers nominate scholar students from their classes to receive recognition, awards and/or scholarships
