To apply to the Honors/AP Heritage Humanities California Magnet Program (Class of 2027):

Applies to new LHHS applicants wishing to transfer out from their current academy into the Heritage magnet's Honors/AP program.
FOR FALL 2023: FRIDAY, MAY 19, 2023
For Fall 2022:
Honors/AP Heritage → Traditional Heritage: Within the first three weeks of 1st or 2nd semester
Traditional Heritage → Honors/AP Heritage (At end of 2nd Semester Only): FRIDAY, MAY 19, 2023
There is no requirement to complete an online application for LHHS students currently enrolled in a program.
If you are interested in switching from the Heritage Honors/AP pathway to the Traditional Heritage pathway:
This can be done toward the end of either the 1st or 2nd semester.
Contact your guidance counselor via email to request the change by the posted deadline for transfers.
The transfer will only be granted if space permits it.
If you are interested in switching from Traditional Heritage to Honors/AP Heritage:
Contact your current Heritage English teacher and let them know that you are interested in moving up to Honors/AP Heritage.
Your English teacher will confer with your social science teacher, examine your grades, and make a recommendation to the Heritage program coordinator (Mr. Char).
If recommended, your name will be placed on a list to be forwarded to the counseling department to make the necessary changes to your schedule.
If you are interested in switching from another academy (e.g. MBA, FPFA, Ag) to the Traditional Heritage program:
Contact your current academy's program coordinator and guidance counselor to notify them of your interest and intent to transfer into traditional Heritage.
This can be done toward the end of either the 1st or 2nd semester.
The transfer will only be granted if space permits it.
If you are interested in switching from your current academy (e.g. MBA, FPFA, Ag) to the Honors/AP Heritage program:
Contact your current English or Social Science teacher and let them know that you are interested in moving up to Honors/AP Heritage.
Your teacher will examine your grades and make a recommendation to the Heritage program coordinator (Mr. Char).
If recommended, your name will be placed on a list to be forwarded to the counseling department to make the necessary changes to your schedule.
