CRES ART CURRICUlum
The CRES elementary art program is based on the elements of art and the principals of design: line, shape, color, texture, form, balance, variety, space and symmetry. These concepts are taught through age appropriate art lessons. Concepts are introduced and expanded upon in successive grades. The program is sequential, allowing students to build upon prior skills and knowledge. The goal of the elementary art program is to provide students with a wide range of visual art experiences. Students use a variety of media and techniques as they complete activities in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture.

Susan Dowley - CRES art teacher
I have been a passionate artist and art educator all of my adult life. I am a landscape painter who works in pastel and oils. I hope to share and instill my passion for creativity in my students. I am excited about exploring new ways of teaching and learning this year.
