GUIDELINES

1.Students should submit one or more of the following structured poems to their LA teachers from January 20-February 1.

LA teachers will share those poems with Ms. Friesland.

2. The “Bio Poem” or “Acrostic Poem” guidelines must be followed and all work must be original.

*Your poem may be selected to be read on morning announcements and/or put in a poem collection.

Bio Poem

(Line 1) First name

(Line 2) Three to four adjectives (descriptive words) that describe the person

(Line 3) Important relationship (daughter of...mother of…)

(Line 4) Two or three things, people, or ideas that the person loved

(Line 5) Three feelings the person experienced

(Line 6) Three fears the person experienced

(Line 7) Accomplishments (who wrote...who discovered...who fought for)

(Line 8) Two or three things the person wanted to see happen or wanted to experience

(Line 9) Nationality or birthplace or place lived

(Line 10) Last name and dates
