Welcome to Fisher Speech! I'm Taylor Fisher, the owner and certified Speech-Language Pathologist here in Glen Carbon, Illinois. My passion lies in empowering children to find their voice and connect with the world around them through effective communication.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Maryville University and earned my undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). I also hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and I am licensed to practice in both Illinois and Missouri. In addition to running Fisher Speech, I also work as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Special School District of St. Louis County working in an Elementary School setting, further enriching my experience with diverse communication needs in children from birth through age 14. I am dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based therapy tailored to each child's unique needs.
At Fisher Speech, I believe in a play-based approach, making therapy sessions engaging and fun for children, which helps them stay motivated and achieve their goals. I also strongly value a family-centered model, recognizing that parents and caregivers are integral to a child's communication journey. I strive to collaborate closely with families, providing education, support, and practical strategies to implement at home. My therapy techniques are always evidence-based, meaning they are grounded in the latest research and best practices in the field.
My vision for Fisher Speech is to empower every child to discover the strength of their voice and the joy of self-expression—creating a space where communication grows, families feel supported, and every milestone is celebrated together.
I am committed to partnering with you to help your child reach their full communication potential. Please feel free to contact me to learn more about how Fisher Speech can support your family.
