We want to make sure every volunteer feels equipped and confident. In addition, there are some stipulations around who can serve as a volunteer. Before proceeding, make sure the following applies to you.
You are over 18 years of age.
You have been attending First Centenary for at least 6 months.
Volunteer Do's ✅:
✅Arrive by 9:45am if serving during Sunday School hour. If serving during Kids' Church, volunteers will arrive by 10:35am. (Most volunteers serve during the Sunday School period.)
✅Assist families with Check In/ Check Out system
✅Support the lead teacher with lessons, group management, and help children during activities
✅Alert staff to any accidents, injuries, or situations of note.
✅Communicate with staff if your schedule changes
✅Have fun!!
Volunteer Don'ts 👎:
❌Don't diaper a child- only hired staff change diapers
❌Don't be one-on-one with a child
❌Don't leave children unattended
❌Don't call or text parents about issues- let staff talk with parents about concerns if needed.
