Reminders:

Midterm of 3rd quarter is February 9th.

Students can bring in money to fill up our class baby bottle which will then be sent to the Women's Resource Center. This ends on February 20th. 

There is no school on February 13th or February 16th for President’s Day. 

Week of: February 9th

This week in:

Reading - We will continue with unit 4. We will also have new spelling words. These words have no pattern, but are all commonly misspelled words I would like them to practice. They are: does, very, first, they, there, because, think, and come. No test this week. 

Math - still working through unit 3, continuing practice of multiplication and division

Science - We are continuing our unit on matter, specifically focusing on states of matter. 

Social Studies -review/wrap up of chapter 11 in government

Religion - we will be going over the virtue of the month (honesty) and the commandment (#8) that connects with the virtue.

Important Dates:

We will have a Valentine’s Day party on Thursday, February 12. We will make bags at school unless your child wants to make their own box at home. Each student can also bring in valentines for the entire class. (23 students) No need to put classmate names on them!
