Field day will be Tuesday, May 20th. More information will be getting sent out, especially if you want to help out!

Week of: May 5th

This week in:

Reading - We are continuing our next ELA unit. This unit is titled Astronomy: Our Solar System and Beyond. We will also be testing over our spelling words on Wednesday. These will be: nearby, understand, skinny, annoy, knotted, knobby, gnat, and gnarly. Challenge words are enough and astronomer. 

Math -  working through geometry! This will be our last week of homework for math for the year!

Science - We will be working on life cycles of animals still, specifically butterflies. Our bean and pea plants have started growing and the caterpillars are starting to make their chrysalis. 

Social Studies -moving onto our last unit on the justice system

Religion - finishing up our virtues for the year! No quiz at the end of the week

Important Dates:

May 6th - $1 out of uniform - theme is comfy clothes (NO PAJAMAS!)

May 9th- May Crowning (bring a flower, all students may dress in their Sunday best if they want)

May 14th - Zoo trip

May 16th - 4th quarter celebration for those who traded in (out of uniform and extra recess)

May 22nd - Last day of school
