Reminders:

There is no school March 30 - April 6th. 

The drama show for Shrek is April 16th and 17th. 

Midterm for 4th quarter is Friday, April 17th. 

Week of: April 6th

This week in:

Reading - We will be starting our next reading unit, which is titled The Viking Age. The kids have really enjoyed this unit in the past. New spelling words will start after break. They will be: snowflake, kindness, occur, soccer, calendar, candle, quickly, attack, thickness, anchor. (spellings of the sound /k/ )

Math - quick refresher on some fraction work

Science - We are continuing with unit 7 on water and weather. 

Social Studies -continuing economics when we return, after a short review!

Religion - ch. 28 - Pentecost

*Third grade will be starting a read-aloud, "The City of Ember." I have been reading this book to my classes for 18 years now! It is a fantastic read-aloud! We will also watch the movie before the end of the year, but it does not do justice to the book!
