In this HS Level 1 Economics course, students will gain a greater understanding of economics ranging from the viewpoint of the individual consumer or small business owner to the global economy. We will be studying the law of supply and demand, forms of business, labor unions, government finances and factors that influence the economy. These include: money supply, changes in prices of goods, inflation and deflation cycles. We will also be looking at how politics and history influence the economy.
Students will be learning through memorizing economic concepts and vocabulary, as well as, practices that they can apply to their own lives on a daily basis.
