The Graduation Project is a credit course that is offered as a creative initiative for senior students at Dar Al Fikr Schools to demonstrate their accumulated skills in an academic area of their choice. It is a competency- based project that provides an opportunity for students to engage in high-level inquiry focusing on an area or a field. The project serves as a capstone that bridges theory and practice and is aimed to have an impact on the college and career life of students.
The project is designed to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate that they are ready to graduate, equipped with the essential knowledge that integrates literacy and linguistic competence, disciplinary learning and real-life connection; hard and transferable skills as well as values and attitudes needed for future college and career life.
During the project, students engage in the process of solving a real-world problem, starting from researching, collecting and processing actual data to applying suitable and appropriate critical and analytical methods of thinking to solve the problem which derives from real-world domains similar to those that students might normally encounter in their future life.
This year’s graduation project theme focuses on the UN seventeen global goals in an attempt to foster a sense of global connection, be more devoted to their education when they feel that they are able to make a difference , and to achieve the goals of vision 2030 by being part of a vibrant society and a thriving economy.
