Star of the Week

During most full weeks of school (beginning in October), our class will have a randomly chosen Star of the Week. Throughout the course of the year, each child will get a turn. The week your child is our Star, they will lead our class during calendar time each morning. There are also a few simple and fun things that they will need your help with throughout the week.

On Monday of that week, please send the “All About Me” paper and pictures of family, friends, etc. These will be featured on our Star of the Week board. All pictures will be returned to you the following week. While we take the utmost care of these images, please do not send anything too precious.
On Wednesday, Oliver Otter will go home with your child. Please help your child write or illustrate about Oliver’s adventures in the journal and return both Oliver and his journal the next day. Your child will share about their adventures together during class on Thursday.

I will send a notice home with your child during the week before they are to be our star.
