Orchestra Boosters

WHO ARE WE?

The Northern Orchestra Boosters are parents of students participating in orchestra at Northern Trails, Northern Hills MS and Northern HS.  We are the behind the scenes volunteer group that assist teachers and students at their concerts and special events.  The boosters provide financial support for all our orchestra students by financially supporting guest conductors, visiting artists, supplemental music, meals for special events, and field trips.  We also provide scholarships for students to attend summer music camps (see the "Scholarship Program" page for details).  We rely strongly on YOU to support our orchestra program as a volunteer and by your generous financial donations.

WHEN DO WE MEET?

We typically meet once a month on Tuesdays at 6:30pm in the Orchestra Room at Northern HS (some of these may take the form of virtual meetings via Zoom).  Parents are welcome, and encouraged, to attend the meetings.  The meeting dates for the 2023-2024 school year are:

NOTE: There are no scheduled meetings in December or May.

Please contact Mr. K if you would like to get involved.

WHY DO WE FUNDRAISE?

It’s no secret, operating a quality orchestra program takes funding.  While FHPS provides some funding, it is not enough.  Therefore, we ask that you contribute by making a financial donation to the Northern Orchestra Program.  Any assistance you can give us would help us create the best possible experience and opportunities for our students.

A direct donation relieves your family of the need to sell products through a formal fundraiser and qualifies as a tax-deductible contribution. The more financial help we get through donations, the less we have to rely on fundraising.

Please help us by making a contribution that fits your family budget.  Please make sure you indicate how you would like to help us fundraise when you complete your “WEB ASSIGNMENT.”

You can also donate at any time, just complete this donation form (below) and send both with your child to school to give to your orchestra teacher.

We also encourage Corporate Sponsorship.  If you know of a company that would like to become a Corporate Sponsor, please contact the school director.
