CREDIT RECOVERY COURSES AVAILABLE DURING SUMMER SCHOOL

Is there a fee for Summer School?

Summer School does have a registration fee of $40. Funding for summer school comes directly from the registration fee so it is important the fee is paid at time of registration. We were able to lower the cost of summer school from $150 per student to $40 per student with the help of grant funding.

Why was Summer School free in past years?

The  three summers after the pandemic, due to COVID, the state of Oregon provided a grant to high schools to provide free summer school for credit recovery options. Last year, with no grant funding, we had to charge $150 for summer school. This year, we have applied for grant funding the state has offered to lower the cost to $40. That's $40 for 15 days of summer school, or just over $2 a day.

Students who are part of the Migrant Program should check with their Migrant Program Coordinator to see if they qualify for free summer school.

Is there transportation to Summer School?

Registrations received by Friday, May 24, 2024 will be routed for transportation to and from high school, provided students live outside 1.5 miles from the high school. Be sure to note in your registration that you would like transportation. Registrations received after May 24th, may have a delay in transportation set up.
