• Military Interstate Compact involvement to support our students connected to the military and to ensure graduation completion.

• Monthly meetings were scheduled between district leadership, the City of Fountain, and the Fort Carson Garrison Commander. Conversations focused on problem solving community needs, identifying areas of improvement, and partnering on important initiatives.

Create programs for youth by partnering with community nonprofit organizations in the City of Fountain and Fort Carson

• Expectations were communicated to community clubs and organizations to maximize benefit to district students. This includes use of district facilities, identifying necessary extension programs, and bridging connections between community initiatives and district needs.

Develop school-to-work opportunities, scholarships, academic awards and financial resources to address District, school, and program needs

• • Established additional access sites for the Food Pantry at Welte Education Center and Fountain Valley YMCA, as well as pick-up sites at Aragon, Mesa, Abrams, and Patriot.

  • Developed relationships with community organization to secure new clothes for the District Clothing Closet.
