Vision

In Ferris ISD, all leaders create a culture where teachers and learners are empowered to use technology in innovative ways to enrich teaching and learning.

Every teacher will implement technology-rich lessons that encourage active and project-based learning opportunities for our students to equip them to take ownership of their own learning and prepare them to thrive in the 21st Century.

Every student will become a responsible digital citizen who knows how to harness the learning potential of digital media in a 24/7 connected world and do it safely, effectively, ethically, and respectfully.

Goal

Students in Ferris ISD will become responsible digital citizens by demonstrating effective use of technology.

Hazel Ingram Elementary: students are engaged in age-appropriate, purposeful activities and lessons with direct supervision from the teacher.

Lucy Mae McDonald Elementary: students are participating in engaging extensions of the lesson content.

Ferris Intermediate School: students are interacting with technology in a purposeful manner, as well as using technology to create projects that reflect their learning.

Ferris Junior High School: teachers are utilizing their PLC to plan lessons that include taking risks and true innovation through the use of technology.
