Badge Description: Promethean boards are a specific brand of interactive whiteboard that allows you to project an image from a laptop or a computer, as well as interact with the board through touch or specialized pens. ActivInspire is the software that provides the various tools and enhancement to create interactive content.

Badge Requirements: There are 2 ways to earn a Promethean Board Private Badge

1) attend a face to face tutorial, or

2) watch the provided video tutorial and answer questions using EdPuzzle

Sergeant

Badge Description: This badge is awarded for creating a flipchart for a classroom lesson.

Badge Requirements: In order to receive this badge, create a Flipchart for a lesson that includes the following elements:

Insert text boxes with content
Insert shapes or objects on pages
Use different colors to express various elements on the page

Save the Flipchart and provide it as evidence when applying for a badge.

Lieutenant

Badge Description: This badge is awarded for creating a Flipchart that incorporates student and teacher interactivity.

Badge Requirements: In order to receive this badge, create at least 10 different Flipcharts that are used during your daily lessons. At least one Flipchart must include the following elements:

Interactive content for students and teachers
Include a tool like the Revealer, Spotlight, or various math tools

Save the Flipcharts and provide them as evidence when applying for a badge.

Captain

Badge Description: This badge is awarded for leading a professional development, either one on one or in a small group, in which you explain the benefits of using the Promethean Board and ActivInspire, give a brief overview of how to use Promethean Boards, and/or assist with trouble shooting any issues teachers may have while using this tool.

Badge Requirements: To earn this badge you must give an explanation of how you showed your colleague(s) to utilize Promethean Board and ActivInspire to enhance the learning environment for students; you must also be willing to provide continued support to faculty at your campus throughout the school year.
