Dancer's Digest: 9/30/2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Ms. Jones, and I am thrilled to be your dancer’s teacher this year! I bring over 25 years of dance experience, having performed professionally on cruise ships, national tours, and international tours. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience with your dancers and to help them grow in technique, confidence, and creativity in a supportive and fun environment.
What a fantastic month it has been! In September, our students explored the foundations and history of ballet, tap, jazz, and modern dance, while also having a blast with hip hop. From learning classic steps to experimenting with new moves, the studio has been full of energy and creativity.
Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram to catch a glimpse of some of the fun happening in class!

Students also participated in ballet and jazz assessments, where they were evaluated on several key areas, including:
Technique and precision – posture, alignment, and execution of steps
Musicality – timing, rhythm, and interpretation of the music
Performance quality – expression, confidence, and stage presence
Memory and sequencing – ability to recall combinations accurately
I encourage parents and guardians to check their dancer’s grades and review the studio’s policies and procedures, as well as the studio performance grade guidelines. This ensures that everyone is aware of expectations, rehearsal protocols, and criteria for performance evaluation, helping your dancer succeed both in class and on stage.
Looking ahead, we are beginning preparations for our Winter Dance Concert on December 13th. If your dancer will not be able to participate in the show or rehearsal on December 11th, please let me know by October 3rd so we can plan accordingly.
We are also seeking Stage Guardians to assist backstage during the rehearsal and/or show. Duties include helping with costumes, keeping classes organized, maintaining the show order, as well as assisting with concessions and ticket sales. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out—we would love your support!
Thank you for helping make this program such a joyful and inspiring place for our dancers. We look forward to an exciting month ahead! Please be on the lookout for costume and fundraising information being sent out at a later date.
Sincerely,
Ms. Jones
