ISD Project - Algebra 2 Unit 6 Polynomials

The Focus of the ISD Project is the Polynomial Functions Unit of Algebra 2 taught at Ferndale High School in Ferndale, CA.

Polynomial functions is one of the more complex topics covered in high school and college level algebra, where students have little to no exposure of anything past a second-degree polynomial. To assure students are successful in future math courses in both high school and college, as well as future careers, it is imperative that students become comfortable with the vocabulary and patterns that emerge in higher degree polynomials, using what they have already learned in 1st and 2nd degree polynomials.

There are 9 sections in Algebra 2's Unit 6 - Polynomial Functions. Please follow the Algebra 2 Unit 6 Lesson link above to access the 9 secitons. All sections have at least one lecture video (tutorial), some have multiple. Some sections have guided notes, Desmos explorations, self-check quizzes, and/or Khan Academy Practices.

Using the Flipped Classroom Paradigm, the lecture videos are watched outside of the classroom, opening classroom time to explorations, collarborative work, and inquiry opportunities.
