Bio

Yasmine Eissa is an assistant professor of Economics at Misr International University (MIU) and an adjunct professor at the American University in Cairo (AUC) and Cairo University. She is a former research fellow at the WTO Chairs Program at Cairo University. She earned her PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. Her research interests are at the intersection of global value chains, innovation, and labor markets. Her studies are focused on emerging regions and are published in refereed journals on international trade and innovation. She has recieved multiple recognitions on her work including Ibn Khaldun prize 2023, EMANES best paper award 2023 and ERF 2023.Â
