Marina Hesham is a PhD candidate in Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science - Cairo University and Paris-1 Panthéon Sorbonne University under the supervision of Prof. Ariane Duppont-Keiffer and Prof. Racha Ramadan. She is an Assistant Lecturer at the Economics Department at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science - Cairo University. She is as well the Assistant to the director of the French Section - Filière Francophone d'Économie et de Science Politique. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and an M.A. in Development Economics from the University of Paris-1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Her research interests include gender economics, microeconomics, and micro-econometrics. And, her thesis tackles the socio-economic effects of intimate partner violence in Egypt.
