The Programmes are taught in English language. The study aims at graduating not only practitioners who will apply the theories and practices that they will learn to make their work and agencies more effective, but also graduates who will function as producers of better understanding of the European Mediterranean affairs.
(1) Successful completion of the entire required course work, and
(2) Successful completion of the dissertation, which must be written in English language.
Completion of the degree provides graduates with the background to perform independent research on international relations specifically Arab-European relationships, comparative public policies, international non-governmental organizations, international negotiation and other concerns and substantive issues related to the European Mediterranean studies.
The MA and PhD programmes are designed for calibers that have a strong commitment to intellectual development and desire to pursue their careers in the field of the European Mediterranean studies. Accordingly, the students will conduct research in areas of significant interest to countries in both sides of the Mediterranean basin and thus, the programmes give high priority to the time and effort required for students complete their studies as the main aim of the Programmes is to graduate specialists in the Euro Mediterranean affairs.
(1) Who wish to work for instance in governments, organizations, private companies, non-profit organizations and educational institutions; and the core of their work is related to the European and Mediterranean area.
(2) Who have a strong desire to understand Europe and European Union and its internal and external policies, in particular toward the Arab countries?
(3) Who wish to teach European Mediterranean courses in the future.
(4) Who have the potential to conduct research in an area of their own interest and who want to enhance their research capabilities on different European and Mediterranean issues.
