I am an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Cairo University. I earned my B.Sc. (2018), M.Sc. (2021), and Ph.D. (2024) in Political Science from Cairo University. My research interests focus on autocratic transitions, religion and politics, and terrorism. My Ph.D. dissertation explored religious institutions' different stances towards autocratization in the post–Third Wave period. I was also awarded the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award in the field of political science and African studies from the Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge, Cairo, Egypt.
