Description:

From the start head off towards the Beacon Way. (Anti-Clockwise route). Ascend all the way to the grassy slopes towards Bannau Sir Gaer. Follow the path on the top of the escarpment all the way east over Picws Du then down and up to Fan Foel. From the cairn here head off down the north west slope (steep at first) and find the best line all the way back to the finish.

Note, the new start and initial route for 2017. The original route followed the track up the valley direct towards the lake.

Parking:

Car Park 1.5 miles east of Llandeusant Youth Hostel, near Llangadog, Carmarthenshire (SN 800238). (Parking is off the track where the race start/finishes).
