Our hymn against Bullying

February 2024 - We can present our hymn against bullying!  We worked on a Ramones song to create our hymn. We stand together against bullying and to do that we have changed the original lyrics of a song from this famous rock band to create our hymn. Furthermore, we have recorded our song in a professional recording studio, and here you have the result!

Final Day in FEDAC Manresa

16th of February 2024 - This has been a very intense day. Early in the morning we have travelled to Navarcles to the recording studio. In groups of 4 we have recorded the song, which will be now edited in the studio to obtain the final version with everyone's voices.

After that, we have returned to Manresa to go to the public library of el Casino. At 12:30 we have officially opened the exhibition "Embracing every shade: a diversity exhibition".

After some speeches, we have been able to appreciate the pictures taken by the participants in the project.

In the evening, some students took part in an interview with the local TV to explain our project "Free to be Me", and the photography exhibition we had inaugurated in the morning.

At 8pm, we all met at the school dinning room for a fun and entertaining farewell dinner party. We had delicious food brought by the families, and we gave the certificated to all the participants.

Fourth Day in FEDAC Manresa

15th of February 2024 - On our fourth day hosting our Italian partners here in FEDAC Manresa, we started rehearsing our hymn against "bullying". We wanted to practice the song in order to be ready to record it in a professional recording studio de next day.

After that, we created posters against bullying in international groups. The idea was to use recycled magazines and arts supplies to design a creative poster to campaign against negative and disrespectful attitudes in our schools.

After a quick snack break, we took part in a game around Manresa with challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Each puzzle related to different challenges our societies are facing.

Third Day in FEDAC Manresa

14th of February 2024 - On our third day, we travelled to Barcelona. We took part in a discovery game around the old city centre in groups. The activity consisted of challenges in different locations. We had to read some information in each place and then accomplish different challenges such us taking artistic pictures, asking people questions, or searching for information among other things.

At lunchtime, we all met at Parc de la Ciutadella. The weather was  really pleasant, and we enjoyed a nice picnic.

After lunch, we had free time to have an ice cream and do some shopping. At half past 4 we returned to Manresa on the bus.

During the day, students had time to take their artistic photos, as the deadline to submit their pictures for the "Diversity  "Exhibition" was 23:59 that evening.

Second Day in FEDAC Manresa

13th of February 2024 - On our second day of our mobility in FEDAC Manresa, we visited Montserrat. When we arrived, we had to order a list of unscrambled facts about Montserrat. We learnt a lot of things about this magical mountain. After that, we walked to the Cross of Sant Miquel to admire the fantastic views. We had a snack there. When we returned to the Monastery, we had some free time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

In the afternoon, we started our song project. We had all previously worked on the Ramones song "Rockaway Beach" so that we could advance on our objective to write good lyrics for our hymn against bullying. We worked on the song for 2 hours, and we decided on the best lyrics.

First Day in FEDAC Manresa

12th of February 2024- Our first day hosting our Italian partners has been very intense. Even though they arrived on Saturday, and we had the chance to spend some time to get to know each other; this was the first day at school.

The programme started with a welcome ceremony to officially start the mobility. We had some speeches and music. A tour of the school followed this formal event. After a delicious snack, we had a great time taking part in an ice breaking game around the school.

After the game. We started working. We discussed the goals we wanted to achieve: a photography exhibition and a hymn against bullying.

After lunch, we played a game to explore the town of Manresa. We had a great time trying to find the treasure a famous robber had hidden in Manresa.
