All courses run on a Wednesday afternoon from 3.45 to 4.30. Most courses* consist of two 45 minute long sessions, with 4-5 weeks between. The first session is to teach the theory and basics of the strategy or programme, and for you to set some personal targets of how you will change your practice as a result. The second session is lead by you and facilitated by the tutor. This is a chance for you to bring up any successes or stumbling blocks you've faced, to share successes and resources and learn from other staff and their experiences. You must attend both sessions to complete the course.
Within the term following your course, you will be encouraged to reflect on what you have learned, if and how you have changed your practice, and what the next steps are to develop your learning. This should be completed on Blue Sky and then shared with the tutor of your course. Alternatively, you could complete the reflection in Blue Sky and then send a separate reflection or photo of evidence to your tutor.
* "What is dysphagia?" is a single session only. "Speech Clinic" runs once a term, and each session is stand-alone.
*This is a one-off session that runs every term*
*This is one session only. No follow up sessions*
