SHBP would like to express our appreciation for everything that you are doing on the frontlines with your employees, our plan members.

We also understand that our public-school systems are responsible for nurturing and protecting our future leaders and we recognize the great responsibility that you bear during this time.

With that said, below are few updates to let you know how the SHBP Division is handling business operations in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) for our Members and Employers.

Members:

1. Free Covid-19 testing

2. Free Telemedicine visits with a doctor to limit in-person visits at health facilities to help prevent the spread of viruses and protect our members from contracting a virus.

3. A banner announcement has been added to SHBP website home page featuring the latest updates on Covid-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Georgia Department of Public Health, as well as our medical, pharmacy, and wellness administrators:

Employers

• Please note that Biometric Screenings for all SHBP Members (including those scheduled by both Sharecare & Kaiser Permanente) are cancelled until further notice. Kaiser, Sharecare (and Quest), are in the process of sending emails to members and site coordinators. Information about rescheduling events has not yet been determined, but alternatives are included in the emails to members.

• The SHBP Employer Services Team begins teleworking Monday, 3/16; however, we will offer the same level of services that we normally do. We encourage the continued use of the Xchange https://shbp.georgia.gov/employers/xchange and the Xchange Escalation Process https://shbp.georgia.gov/xchange-escalation-process. We also have a process in place if a callback is necessary.
