Hello!  My name is Sherri Ramírez.  This is my sixth year of teaching and my first year at Cordova.  I teach both French and Spanish level 1.  I obtained my Single Subject Teaching Credential in French and Spanish at CSU Sacramento. 

Prior to obtaining my credential, I lived in France for a brief period of time teaching English at the primary school level.  Lyon is my favorite city!

I have a passion for learning languages and am excited to pass this passion onto others through teaching.  I believe that through the exploration of world languages and cultures, we can all become more cognizant and humbled people.

I grew up speaking only English and began learning French my sophomore year of high school.  Since then, I have formally studied Spanish, Italian, and German and have attempted so many others that I've lost count!  I am hoping to one day obtain my Master's degree abroad in Education and Sociolinguistics.

I currently live in Sacramento with my partner and our two cats. 😺
