What is District History Day?

FCUSD offers students an opportunity to participate in a district-wide mock competition. The purpose of the event is to provide students with feedback and recommendations for how to strengthen their projects before county competition. Many FCUSD Educators volunteer their time to Judge at the event, providing valuable, constructive feedback. Interested in volunteering to be a judge? Click here to register.

October 26, 2022: FCUSD Coaches Informational Meeting, Teams 4:00-5:00

January 18, 2023: District Online Submission Deadline

January 18, 2023: Registration Deadline for volunteer judges

January 24, 2023: Deadline for judges to return feedback forms to district for assigned projects: please email forms to cjackson@fcusd.org

February 5, 2023: Registration Deadline with Sacramento County- Cost $45 per student

February 14, 2023: Projects due to Sacramento County- Documentaries, Websites, Papers, Podcasts

March 4, 2023: Sacramento County Competition, Inderkum High School

April 15-16, 2023: State Finals, California State University Sacramento

June 11-15, 2023: National Competition, University of Maryland
