Phase 1 - Plan

Timeframe: Begins week of September 8

What Students Do:

• Begin brainstorming and planning their project

• Choose a topic, learning goal, and product goal

• Ask a faculty member to be their supervisor

Journal Prompts:

• Complete Journal Prompts #1-7

DUE: October 9th 

Phase 2 - Research 

Timeframe: October

What Students Do:

• Complete their project research

• Create Works Cited/Bibilography page

• Work is supported in Individuals and Societies Classes (one regular day and one block)

• Meet with supervisor one time in October

Journal Prompts:

• Complete Journal Prompts #8-10

• Portions used as a summative assessing B iii, iv

DUE: October 30th 

Phase 3 - Produce

Timeframe: November to January 11th

What Students Do:

• Create their final product

• Use research to guide design and decision making

• Upload at least 3 pieces of product evidence to Google Classroom

• Meet with supervisor at least once during this phase

DUE: 

• Product completed by January 11

• Evidence uploaded throughout the phase

Phase 4 - Write the Report

Timeframe: January & February

What Students Do:

• Write the Process/Reflection in English class

• Finalize successes, challenges, growth, and analysis

• Meet with supervisor again after finishing the paper

• Complete Journal Prompts #11-13
