Study of Coatings
The decorative coatings of the toys are currently being examined to identify the materials used and the technical approaches employed. This research includes analytical methods such as XRF and Raman spectroscopy.

Master's Theses
The Toy Story project is supported by the research of three master’s students: two from the Conservation and Restoration Master’s Programme at NOVA FCT and one from the Physics Engineering programme at FCUL. Their ongoing work on tinplate toy materials, mechanisms, and analytical techniques plays a key role in advancing the project’s scientific and conservation objectives.
