The construction sector is constantly developing to meet the needs of the population. Unfortunately, it is also actively contributing to climate change. In order to limit its impact on the environment, it is necessary to gradually move toward sustainable construction for environmentally friendly buildings. The aim is to preserve the environment and its natural resources, limit waste, reduce carbon emissions and save energy through better insulation, clean energy production and efficient equipment.
Thus, eco-building materializes in different forms such as circular construction where the materials used are resources that can be dismantled and reused; prefabricated constructions or novel construction.
Exchanges within the framework of I4SC Connected Community will contribute to the training of tomorrow's talent by raising awareness of the environmental and societal challenges of sustainable development in the field of construction (SDG 4).
The expected research results combining the use of new construction techniques such as 3D printing or Artificial Intelligence (SDG 9), associated with eco-responsible low-carbon materials (SDG 12) will make it possible to propose new solutions that would contribute to limiting the environmental impact of future constructions or those to be renovated (SDG 11).Â
