Hello! I am Mrs. Shelby Steele. This will be my 10th year of teaching. I taught 3 years at Huntland Elementary. This is my 7th year at Rock Creek. While at Huntland, I taught Kindergarten and 4th grade. While at Rock Creek, I have taught Kindergarten and 1st grade. This year will be my first year in 3rd grade! I am truly passionate about Science and Social Studies. I am looking forward to an awesome school year with your child.

I am a 2009 graduate from Franklin County High School. Go Rebels! In 2011, I graduated from Motlow State Community College with an Associates of Science in Teaching Degree. In 2013, I graduated from Tennessee Technological University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus in Pre-k through 6th grade. In December 2018, I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with my Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision. It has always been my passion to be a teacher and I truly love what I do.

I am married to Ryan Steele. Ryan and I have been married for 9 years. My husband and I are both natives of Franklin County. We live on Keith Springs Mountain in Belvidere, TN. My husband recently started his own business, Hero Heating and Air Conditioning! This is an exciting new event in our lives. We also had our first child, Hallie Mae Steele, in 2021. It has been such a blessing to have this new little bundle of joy added into our lives. I have four fur babies: Maggie, Tucker, Smokey, and Boo. I also have a horse, Haley. In my free time, I love to care for my animals, camp, be outdoors, be with family, and travel. My favorite places to be are on the lake, in the mountains, or on the beach. Sundrop, sweet tea, Mexican food, and Cheese-its are my weaknesses! I am so excited to get to know my new students!
