Teacher Bio

My name is Kelli Camp, and I am entering my 18th year of teaching.  I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified in ESL and forest education.  I live in Sewanee with my husband, Harrison (the P.E. coach), and our three daughters, Lily (8th grade), Sadie (5th grade), and Suzanna (3rd grade.)  We have two dogs, five cats, three snails, two fish, and twelve chickens that help make our house a home.  I enjoy spending time with my family and our animals, being outside, cleaning and organizing, and doing crafty projects.

Teaching is my passion, and I believe every child needs someone who truly cares about them.  My goal, as a teacher, is to provide a safe environment where children enjoy learning, are respectful of each other, feel loved and accepted, and value their individuality.  As a forest kindergarten teacher, our daily motto is “Be kind to myself.  Be kind to others.  Be kind to nature.”
