Forest City Indian Sports Boosters is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Our all-volunteer committee's mission is to support Forest City Community School District athletic programs by making recommendations, assisting the athletic programs, conducting and promoting activities, raising funds and by providing equipment and facilities to lessen the burden of extra curricular athletic programs. We strive to promote and encourage scholastic excellence, good sportsmanship and high achievement in athletics among the participants, student body, educators, coaches and spectators. Go Indians!
We fundraise. The Forest City Sports Boosters are responsible for overseeing all sport concession stands. Each fall, our athletes complete the "Booster Blitz" whereby individuals and businesses can become supporting members. Other fundraisers include the senior cake auction, tailgate meal, yard signs, football yard line markers and the annual alumni golf tournament.
We support the teams! Items that have been bought over the years include uniforms, warm ups, weight room equipment, end zone camera, water “buffalo” for football team, basketball rims and backboards in both high school and middle school gyms, NOAH basketball shooting system, softball field monogrammed fence screen, track and field equipment, golf laser range finder, golf warm ups, summer camps, cheerleading state competition fees, bats for baseball and softball, balls for all sports, new gym video board and many other athletic equipment items.
We increase school spirit by selling Forest City Indians merchandise. We set up our Spirit Store online and circulate order forms a couple of times each year so our stands are filled with red and white!
We recognize our athletes' accomplishments by supporting them throughout their high school years and we publicly congratulate their accomplishments at sporting events. Follow us on Facebook!
We thank our fans by naming a "Fan of the Year" and by recognizing individuals and businesses who support our mission.
