RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SUPPORT 

Digital technologies can present both risks and opportunities to young refugees at Europe’s margins. 

Recent ySKILLS workshops were conducted to help youth identify their digital skills as assets that help them manage their transnational lives and enable them to identify and reflect upon the risks that they see in their uses of smartphones, computers, and social media.

We spoke to 96 young refugees of different backgrounds in Belgium, Greece, and the UK while discussing their vulnerabilities, struggles, but also agentive capabilities in leading transnational digital lives.
