The Career Exploration Internship Program (CEIP) is a one semester course that provides Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to obtain hands-on, non-paid, career exploration experiences. Students will interact with professionals in the field and gain knowledge to help them make more informed college and career choices for their future.
Student Requirements Include:
Minimum of 54 hours of unpaid on-site experience
Classroom/On-line instruction and assignments
All required paperwork completed and signed by all parties before internship begins
Students should be motivated, responsible, mature, independent and show initiative
Role of the Internship Mentor:
Assure safe working environment
Provide training if needed
Provide career-related experiences and explain duties and responsibilities
Allow student interviews and answer questions
Verify hours
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to student and internship coordinator
