     This student has shown academic potential for reading in the classroom as well as on a local or nationally normed achievement test.


AM-identified as academically gifted in math only


     This student has shown academic potential for math, in the classroom as well as on a nationally-normed achievement test.


AI-identified as academically and intellectually gifted


     This student has shown both academic/achievement in the classroom, as well as intellectual potential measured on a nationally normed aptitude test.


IG-identified as intellectually gifted


     This student has a composite aptitude test score at the 96 percentile (9th Stanine)   or higher.

The NC AIG Booster Shots are a series of mini-PD sessions designed to highlight and promote best gifted instructional practices, provide tangible social and emotional support for gifted learners, and provide job- embedded professional development that is targeted, meaningful, quick, and can support teachers with instruction for AIG learners tomorrow! 

Advanced Learning Labs are aligned to a concept as well as the NCSCOS to use during remote instruction with your students. Choose to use each Advanced Learning Lab as an extension, find a concept to accelerate, or enrich a unit you already teach. With each Advanced Learning Lab, students explore logic puzzles, go on field studies, engage in research explorations, participate in mindfulness activities and continue engaging with math and literacy
