Calling All Senior Band Members! Scholarship Opportunity! 🎶
Liberty High School Band Boosters will be awarding two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from the Class of 2026 who have been part of the band program.
Who can apply?
Seniors who:
• Have spent at least two years in band
• Are currently enrolled in band during senior year
• Plan to continue their education after high school
📣 Color Guard members are also eligible, as they are part of the Marching Band!
A few important details:
• Applications are due March 27, 2026
• Completed applications should be hand delivered to Mr. Neidich
• Applications are reviewed by a selection committee (not the band director)
• Participation and leadership in LHS band and community music programs are strongly considered

The Joyce Mills Scholarship from the Fauquier Retired Teachers Association is awarding $1,000 to:

The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation (UNIVERSAL LINK) scholarship deadline has been extended. Please do not use this as an excuse to wait.
🗓 New deadline: Monday, February 9, 2026
⏰ Closes at 8:00 AM absolutely no late submissions
You have time right now, but it will go quickly. The application is not complicated, but you do need to be prepared.
You will need:
• Your essay
• Up to 3 references/recommendations – technically for this one, only 1 is needed.
• Access to your FAFSA Summary page (you’ll need to screenshot it and upload it in the application)
Also, pay attention to the due dates for the upcoming scholarships. As most of you have noticed, deadlines are coming up fast, and once they pass, there are no extensions.
If you've applied to ANY of the scholarships that Mrs. Trijo has posted, send her an e-mail and let her know which ones! Pay close attention to the new ones she has added.
