This template has some flexibility – You can make the intro and outro shorter or longer, as long as you make sure that both Switch times are the same length as each other.

This template could allow for differentiation – for example, you could give different resources to each group in the grey station.
It’s also pretty adaptable, because you could have two in-person groups in your first block and two virtual groups in your second block.
This could also be a pretty helpful template if you co-teach – you could have both the green and orange stations led by a teacher, and the grey station could be for independent work.

2. Making copies of movies is prohibited by copyright law. Kim Ritter writes,
“I immediately thought of the Teach Act (linked on that page). It says that copyright rules are
not ‘lifted’ for full-length videos as they are for other materials used in instruction.
Segments may be used/shared for online instruction, but entire works cannot be
communicated to students without paying for more significant copyrights. Just because we
own a video does not mean we can change its format of presentation (digitizing a physical
copy, for example, to load into Blackboard or Google). That is a direct violation of copyright.”
3. However, we think it is OK for students who are virtual to watch a video that you are showing to your in-person students via the meeting platform as long as you (or the students viewing) are not recording the meeting at the point of showing the copyrighted video.
4. For students who miss a live class, you will have to schedule another playing/viewing time or, in other words, create another “live” session (that is not recorded).
